Yoga Āpah- Yoga on the Water
Begins June 12th!
(This event is open to North Shore Yacht Club members. Members are permitted to bring one guest per class and the guest must use their own board.) Being in nature is an essential practice in itself. Come and enjoy the beauty of Lake Michigan with a seventy five-minute paddling and yoga class that will reset your mind and body. This class will meet at the North Shore Yacht Club and will then head out to our beautiful waters for a mindful paddle to a nearby beach. Once on the beach we will practice gentle yoga postures, breathing, and end with a guided meditation. To complete class we will return to the water for a quiet paddle back to the yacht club.
CYC Summer Yoga Course
Begins June 17th!
Join Katie for this eight-week course of yoga asana taught in the Krishnamacharya/Desikachar lineage. The following biomechanics of movement will be explored: forward bends, backward bends, twists, lateral bends, extensions, inversions, and balance poses. In addition to yoga asana, hand mudras, meditation and prananyama will be taught. The course videos will also be available for purchase after the event with a portion of the sales going to charities that Katie supports.
